Museum "Grünes Gewölbe" (the Green Vault) is located in the Royal Palace in Dresden. The vault served as a treasure chamber for valuable objects and documents; they were  prerfectly safe from fire here. It derives its name from the green painted column bases and capitals inside. On August the Strong's orders two rooms were turned into a 'Wunderkammer' (spendid room) - a kind of arts and curio cabinet. Just two years later they were extended to their current form. Historical works of art, collected by August the Strong, are still being exhibited in these beautifully designed vaults.

The lush materials and the somewhat classical furnishings in the apartment refer to the opulence of the museum. The living room, kitchen and bedroom flow into each other making this spacious apartment feel even bigger.
