In 1542 duke Moritz of Saxony had his hunting lodge Moritzburg built in the Renaissance style in the wildlife-rich forest of "Friedewald". It became the focal point for  Saxony's  hunting community. In 1723 August the Strong, Elector of Saxony and King of Poland, started huge reconstruction works to turn the building into a Baroque hunting and pleasure lodge. Much attention was paid to the interior design and landscaping.

Rough leather upholstery, decorative details and the use of hunting colours evoke this old-time luxurious atmosphere in the apartment. There is a lovely conservatory (12 m²),  where you can have a good glass of wine while overlooking the forests, open fields and sandstone formations.

The living room also doubles as a bedroom. A double box spring bed guarantees a good night's rest. Sofa bed and a separate bed for adult or child are in the conservatory

Both sleeping places have immediate access to the bathroom so that nobody will be disturbed by nightly visits to the bathroom. This sizeable wellness room has ample space for two with a walk-in shower and king-size double bath.
